If you’ve recently purchased the heavily hyped “Affiliate Rockstar Status” (I didn’t jump on this bandwagon), you’ll be presented with a strategy on using web URL’s as keywords. Essentially full domain names, partial domain names, and variations there of become highly targeted keywords for your PPC campaigns.

For example: “www.affiliaterockstarstatus.com” and “www afffiliaterockstarstatus com” become keywords in addition to your normal brand/product targeted keywords.

As I mentioned in my “Where’s Rian Post” also from today,  I finally purchased Wordtracker. It was one of those purchases I knew I needed to make, but just put off again and again. Anyway, just before I went to the Wordtracker site to signup, I decided to see who was already advertising for Wordtracker as an affiliate. I was just curious since I had already signed up as an affiliate, but never really promoted them before.

My site is new, and so it doesn’t yet rank in the search engines. But I have a few key phrases that I’d like to do more research on and target, like “affiliate marketing blog”. I’m still fairly new to SEO concepts, but I find them fascinating, so I pretty much soak up as much SEO information as I can.

I was just over reading one of my favorite SEO blogs, and learned that Wordtracker has just released a free keyword search tool. If you’ve never heard of Wordtracker, it is probably the "defacto" keyword research tool used by and referenced to by Internet marketers. This new "free" version will digg up to 100 free search results, similar to how Yahoo’s Overture Keyword Suggestion Tool works (or worked should I say).
