Fellow affiliate ninjas! Thanks for dropping by my Affiliate Marketing Blog. Why not stay updated by subscribing to my RSS Feed or joining my Internet & Affiliate Marketing Newsletter? - Rian, Sept. 2007
Fellow bloggers and Internet marketers…good news, our job of reaching people in as many ways possible has just become a heck of a lot easier.
I came across this article today about creating automatic podcasts out of your blog posts. The service is being headed by a company called Odoigo, and best of all, it’s free! Here’s an excerpt from their website:
“Check out our automated podcast “to go”: your site’s RSS feeds, text articles and blog posts can be converted automatically to iPod-ready audio files ready to download and play anywhere, anytime, on any device.” - Odoigo.com

What great timing for me since I’m still in the design phase and have been planning on implementing podcasts in the not to distant future anyway. Imagine being able to break away from the computer screen for a few hours, and still stay up to date with your favorite blogs while in the car or at the gym.
And for Internet marketers, what a great way to reach people who don’t stick around long enough to read your entire newsletter or autoresponder series. Perhaps you could even archive your top 10 posts and offer them as a bonus on your sales page.
I’m definitely going to try this out. Since my blog is brand new, this will be a great new piece of technology to implement now. I just popped over to their site to hear their demo of a blog post read out. Wow! I’m impressed. A very human like text-to-speech engine. It’s more authentic sounding than I thought it’d be. (and the post it reads is hilarious). Go hear it for yourself.
If anyone has already played around with Odoigo, let me know what you think. I can’t wait to try it out.

hey, thanks for the info Rian. I did go check out that demo…wow! it really does sound real. there were a few spots where it was kind of robotic, but I think it was because of the particular post it was reading. it was a bad translation I think. i signed up to try it. waiting to hear back from odoigo. let me know when your blog can do audio posts. i’d love to hear what you have to write on my ipod.
